Why We Love This Coffee

This Grade 1 Ethiopian Yirgacheffe from the Hafursa Cooperative checks all the boxes. Fair trade, organic, and grown at high elevation in the birthplace of coffee. The washed process brings out bright stone fruit, delicate florals, and a lemon finish with hints of dark chocolate. Best as a pour over or french press to let those florals shine. For espresso, try it in an Americano where the fruit notes really pop.

PROCESS

Washed

The coffee cherries are first depulped to remove the outer skin and fruit. Then, fermented in water tanks to break down mucilage. Finally, the beans are washed clean. Washed processing typically produces clean and bright coffee.
