About Us

Our Story:

Both Evan & Geoff grew up in the Triangle area and fell hard for specialty coffee around the same time. Geoff discovered his love for specialty coffee at a Durham coffee shop where one incredible pour-over changed everything. He then spent years teaching himself to roast, refining his technique, and building a following through word of mouth. Evan was working remotely for a tech company and began experimenting with every brew method he could find. With his love for coffee & business, he couldn't shake the idea of starting a coffee company with Geoff.

In 2024, Evan & Geoff joined forces and began Bean Fiend! The idea was simple. Geoff handles the coffee. Evan handles the business. Together, they'd fill a gap in Wilmington's market. A roaster committed to exceptional beans, intentional craft, and honest prices.

They officially formed Bean Fiend in 2025 and launched to the public in January 2026.
