About Us

Our Story:

Both Evan & Geoff grew up in the Raleigh/Durham area and have both become obsessed with specialty coffee. Geoff discovered his love for specialty coffee at a coffee shop in Durham, where he first experienced just how specialty coffee beans can truley make the difference. He spent years learning the nuances of coffee roasting & refining his technique. Evan has always had a love for coffee, but it really took off while he was working remotely for a tech company and began to experiment with different beans and brewing methods. With his love for coffee & business, Evan couldn't shake the idea of starting a coffee company with Geoff.

In 2024, Evan & Geoff joined forces and began Bean Fiend! Together, they'd fill a gap and bring high-quality, specialty grade coffee to Wilmington, NC. Bean Fiend is a small batch-batch coffee roastery committed to exceptional beans, intentional craft, and honest prices.

Bean Fiend was officially founded in 2025 and launched to the public in January 2026.
